This month is Effective Communications Month and we are not strangers to the concept. In fact mobile marketing is a constant exercise in effective communications, wouldn’t you agree?
Mobile site design to begin with requires that you focus on “just the facts” and not just any facts, either. The points of interest wanted by the mobile community, a group on the go.
We recommend that our clients consider that their mobile site users are simply wanting to know where their business is located, when it’s open, and how to get there. We through in the Tap To Call feature in case they get lost and a link to our regular website in case they want all the goodies. But we don’t burden them with everything we have at the mobile site.
We keep it short and sweet. That’s in fact why we use a dog tag in our header. We think dog tags are a good picture of what we are aiming to do with our mobile sites. Short messages with no frills or extras. Simple. Easy to read and navigate.
And it’s not just true of our mobile optimized sites. It’s true of our email marketing efforts and our sms marketing. QR codes are super effective communications. There’s not even an address involved. They simply say, “Take Me To Your Leader.” And they get there.
We love that everything having to do with mobile marketing is short and sweet. Let us know about ways you’ve discovered to keep the messages you use short and to the point as we celebrate Effective Communication month!
